Bonfire
This week children have been learning about the celebration Bonfire night and autumn. To explore the topic, we went on a sensory walk around the school and listened to the leaves "rustling" and "swishing". Children also felt different types of leaves, sticks and berries. Amber class were very quick to tell me I cannot eat berries because they will make me poorly!
After going on a sensory walk, we had a warm hot chocolate and marshmallows, while listening to a fire. Children listened to the noise of a fire and said it sounded like "popcorn popping!" They were also able to remind me how we keep safe around a fire by "standing back", "wearing gloves" and have "a bucket of water".
